Report your entry
If you are moving to the municipality from abroad, you must arrive personally in Borgerservice to report your entry into Denmark and get registered in the civil register of Denmark (CPR). The personal attendance is also required, if you move back to Denmark after a longer stay abroad.
You must bring your passport, residence permit (if needed) and rental agreement.

If you move to Denmark from another country of the EU/EØS
If you are moving to Denmark with the intention of staying more than three months, you have the right to get registered in the register of population and get a CPR number (personal identity number). If you’re planning to stay in Denmark for more than 6 months, you’re required by law to get registered in the register of population.
You have to book a time for a personal meeting in Borgerservice. Bring your passport, residency permit and rental agreement to be able to get your entry registered.

If you are a citizen from a country outside the EU
As a foreign citizen outside the EU, with the intention of staying in Denmark for more than three months, you have to book time for a personal meeting in Borgerservice to get CPR registered. You must bring your passport, residence permit and rental agreement or a member of the household. If you’re entering as an au pair you can bring a member of your host family (accommodation host) or some form of confirmation from your host family, instead of a rental agreement. If you’re unable to bring a rental contract or any of the alternatives, we will have to acquire a confirmation from the household, and your registration can be delayed. You can only get registered, if you have a residence permit.

If you come from one of the Nordic countries
If you are moving to the municipality of Rudersdal, coming from a Nordic country and are going to live in Denmark for at least three months, you can get CPR registered and get a Danish CPR number.
You have to book time for a personal meeting in Borgerservice to report your entry and get registered. Bring your passport and documentation for the address of your residence, such as a rental agreement.
