Rudersdal is a Science Municipality, where schools (years 6 – 18), higher education institutions and private companies collaborate on strengthening the focus on the subjects in the natural science area. This interaction opens up new possibilities for everyone working with development and teaching in the natural science area.
The children of Rudersdal are generally doing well in school and a large proportion of our young people attend higher education. The Municipality backs this pattern up by creating a framework that invites our educational institutions and private enterprises to a close and committed collaboration. A Science Municipality builds on an integral plan for the development of the natural sciences. The plan integrates the municipal industrial policy.
The project has the following goals to:
- make children interested in working with natural science
- promote a positive collaboration between schools, higher education and the private enterprises in the municipality
- support children’s ability to live in a globalised society
- be a long term investment in further development of both local education and private industry
