Workshop: Job search & Danish working culture

We are happy to invite foreign job seekers for a workshop about Danish working culture and procedures to
search for job in Denmark.
The course will be taught in English and will be held at:

The workshop includes:

Introduction to Danish working culture. In Denmark we have a so-called flat organisation structure. At the course we will talk about:
The typical Danish organisation structure
The written and unwritten rules, the DOs and DONTs
The most significant characteristics for the Danish working culture

In Denmark many jobs in the private sector is possessed through network.
At the course we will talk about different methods to apply for work:
1) Reply to a job advert
2) Unsolicited applications and use of job databases and
3) Looking for work through your network and how to establish a professional network in Denmark.

Examples of typical CVs (resumes) and application letters will be handed out
What does a typical Danish CV look like, what information needs to be in your CV
How to write a good application

The job interview - questions to help you prepare for a future job interview
There is no exact recipe to make the perfect job CV or application letter, but we will talk about the most common mistakes and what you can do to enhance your chances and especially the importance of networking.
The course will be taught by Anette Pilmark from Spousecare. Annette Wilhjelm from Rudersdal Jobcentre will be present and ready to answer your questions.
